My kid scratched my hardwood!!!
A guide to getting a scratch out of hardwood floors.
There is nothing worse than that ugly blemish that sticks out like a sore thumb on those shiny beautiful hardwoods!

Fortunately I have a solution to removing that scratch from your lovely wood, so that you can stop staring at it and get that scrape out of the wood right away! Lets do it!

Alternate Method for Removing a Scratch or Scrape From Wooden Floors....
Go to the hardware store and pick up a few different wood markers to best match the shade of your floors. They are sold in shades like, Ebony, Walnut, Oak etc.. and typically they match the shade of most woods spot on!

Wipe the scratches. Use a damp washcloth to clean off all dirt, dust and particles.
Test the spot. Draw a small line in a hidden area of your floor, eg. under the couch or in the corner, Find the marker that matches closest to your wood floors.
Make sure the scratch is dry and simply run the marker up and down over the scratch. Allow to dry and don't worry if it looks lighter than the floor, you can apply more coats as needed.
Rub off any remaining stain with a dry rag.

Now you can go take your kid out of punishment for scratching your floor!

Here is one way to go if you want to know how to remove red wine out of carpet:

Blot as much of the wet area as possible first. The more you remove the less it will stain.
Pour Cold water on the stain and continue to blot with a clean white towel. Continue this step until no more of the stain fades.
Mix 3pts baking soda to 1 part water and apply to the wine stained area. Allow to dry and then vacuum the spot. Stain should be gone!
